The Barge 1720 OSR is a high-capacity catamaran designed for oil recovery. Its task is to take and distribute oil booms and to carry fire extinguishing equipment and, if necessary, crew to the accident site. It can also be used for evacuation tasks in fires and marine accidents.
Barge 1720 OSR is equipped with a crane that is powered by a separate hydraulic machine. The same hydraulic machine uses the wide hydraulic bow door and capstan. The equipment also includes a movable oil boom that can be used either on the bow or the stern.
