30 januar, 2025

Boat manufacturer Kewatec has received significant recognition for its work in cybersecurity. In January 2025, the company was awarded the international ISO 27001:2022 certification, confirming its commitment to the highest standards of information security.

ISO 27001 certification defines the requirements for establishing, maintaining, and continuously improving an information security management system. According to Kewatec, this certification is part of a broader investment in security and defense sector procurements.

– This achievement strengthens our customers’ and partners’ trust in us. Trust is one of the cornerstones of our operations, and with this certification, we can offer even safer and more reliable collaboration for all our stakeholders, says COO, Lars Olaussen (pictured).

Kewatec emphasizes that enhancing security is essential both for safeguarding the company’s own operations and for creating differentiation opportunities in, for example, defence and civil security sector procurements.

– Information security is crucial for the continuity of our business, especially in today’s rapidly changing operational environment. The certification helps us protect data, minimize risks, and further enhance our processes, says Quality Manager Sanna Kiviharju.

Kewatec thanks all its employees who participated in the certification process. The company sees this achievement as an important step toward an even stronger and more responsible operation.
