The Norwegian Coastal Administration has taken delivery of two Kewatec Work 1500 workboats, further strengthening its fleet. The boats are named Stabben and Skrova. The collaboration with Kewatec doesn’t end here, as the Coastal Administration has decided to exercise the option for a third boat. This third vessel, identical to the previous two, is already in production and is expected to be delivered in the summer of 2024.
The Kewatec Work 1500 boat model has proven to be a good workboat in previous deployments. The Work 1500 model has been delivered to other Nordic countries in previous years. The total value of the acquisition is 4.7 million euros, and the option boat is anticipated to be in operation by the summer of 2024. The Norwegian Coast Guard continues its commitment to pursuing high quality and performance in its operations.
The Norwegian Coastal Administration is a transport agency under the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Fisheries. They ensure safe and efficient traffic in fairways and into ports, and a national preparedness against acute pollution.
