Kewatec Shipyards has recently signed several new contracts for vessels to be delivered across Europe. The orders reflect a steady demand for durable, functional boats designed for professional customers.
One of the new builds is a pilot boat for Gdansk Pilot in Poland — the third vessel ordered by the same customer. Kewatec is also building a patrol boat for the Hellenic Navy as part of a NATO FORACS project in Greece, and another patrol boat for the customs authorities in Gdynia, Poland.
In the passenger vessel segment, sustainability remains a key focus. Two fully electric passenger boats have been ordered for Kristiansand, Norway, and a third bigger electric boat is headed to Gothenburg, Sweden. These zero-emission vessels reflect Kewatec’s commitment to sustainable engineering.
Additionally, two search and rescue boats are being built for CIVIPOL, France. These vessels will operate in the Mediterranean, supporting critical humanitarian and civil protection missions. The agreement also includes an option for two additional SAR boats.
Several of the boats under construction – including the SAR boats, the Gdansk pilot vessel, and the Gdynia patrol boat – are designed to be self-righting, supporting safer operations in challenging conditions.
These projects align with Kewatec’s long-term focus on civil security and sustainable solutions and continue the company’s work in building reliable vessels for professional use.
