We would like to introduce the e-Passenger 1500, Kewatec’s latest innovation in sustainable maritime mobility. This fully electric passenger ferry has been designed specifically for the challenging Nordic environment, offering quiet, efficient and low-emission transport.
With a length of 15.8 meters and a beam of 5.2 meters, the e-Passenger 1500 combines smart Scandinavian design with passenger comfort. The vessel can accommodate 36 passengers and one crew member, with barrier-free access for wheelchairs and strollers. Onboard, there are two separate toilets—one for passengers and one for crew—ensuring practicality and convenience for all.
At its core, the ferry is powered by a 150 kW electric propulsion system supported by a 90 kW diesel generator, enabling a top speed of 10 knots and a cruising speed of 8 knots. With a battery-only range of over 30 nautical miles, it is perfectly suited for fixed-route operations in public transport.
