Kewatec is strengthening its defence segment operations and sales by appointing Commander (Ret.) Jussi Mattila to its defence sales team. Jussi Mattila has had a long career in the Finnish Defence Forces and transitioned to civilian roles at the beginning of this year.
In his new position as Senior Specialist – Defence, Jussi brings extensive experience gained from working with Defence Forces capabilities. His career has included naval service in the Finnish Navy as well as planning roles at various levels. Over the past 15 years, his work has focused on capability development within the Defence Forces and defence material procurement. The maritime environment has been important to him since a young age, first as a personal interest and later as a profession.
Jussi’s background strongly supports Kewatec’s long-term goal of developing its defence segment. “In the defence market, trust, deep industry understanding, and the ability to describe solutions from the customer’s capability perspective are essential,” Jussi notes.
Jussi will begin his role at Kewatec by attending Navy Tech in Gothenburg on 3–5 February, and he will also represent Kewatec at CEL in Krakow on 10–12 February. “It is exciting to join the development of Kewatec’s defence segment and bring together customer insight, capability thinking, and practical execution,” says Jussi.
