We signed an agreement to deliver the sixth SAR vessel to the Icelandic Search and Rescue Association, ICE-SAR this week. The agreement continues our long-standing collaboration and highlights ICE-SAR’s trust in the performance and reliability of our vessels.
ICE-SAR is renowned for its demanding rescue operations in Iceland’s challenging conditions. We are proud to support their vital work by providing innovative and durable solutions that enhance the safety and efficiency of rescue missions.
Previous deliveries have demonstrated Kewatec’s ability to meet these challenges. The fourth SAR vessel, Björg, was handed over to ICE-SAR at the Rescue 24 event in Reykjavik and was specifically designed for Iceland’s harsh conditions. This 17-meter-long, self-righting vessel combines powerful engines and waterjets to ensure top performance even in difficult weather conditions.
Over the past years, Kewatec has delivered four SAR vessels to Iceland, and today’s agreement for the sixth vessel further solidifies our partnership. The fifth vessel is currently under production. The new sixth vessel will continue the tradition of combining reliability, technical advancement, and high performance.
We thank ICE-SAR for their trust and all Kewatec employees who have made this project possible. Together, we are committed to supporting search and rescue operations for safer missions at sea.
