The new fishery inspection boat was handed over to the LALLF Mecklenburg – Western Pomerania (Germany)
Kewatec Patrol 1560 – built by Kewatec AluBoat – was sailed on its own keel from Kokkola (Finland) to Warnemünde (Rostock, Germany) in late November 2018. Despite the autumn cold, a three-man crew made the long journey in record time. The weather was wonderful, but the boat was also able to show what it can do: driving fast and reliably on the open sea while providing the crew with a comfortable and safe working environment.
After appropriate checks by the German authorities, and some work to be done on the boat, the “Steinbutt” was officially handed over to the customer. The Fisheries Control Authority in the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania received the boat on 18th of December last year. On 19th of December, the solemn commissioning of the new “Steinbutt” took place at the “Alter Strom” in Warnemünde. In the beginning of January this year, it will be used in the service of the Baltic Sea, the fishermen and the fishes.
