Kewatec Passenger 1500
Passenger 1500 is a completely new design, and one of the few aluminium-built passenger boats that is certified for sea area D in accordance with the Non-SOLAS directive (2009/45/EC). This calls for a high standard of fire safety features. Compared to the existing E-class passenger vessels, the general equipment level is considerably higher as well. This means that the Passenger 1500 can operate on routes and in areas where existing water buses are not allowed to enter, thus opening up new areas of the outer archipelago and beyond for regular service routes as well as charter.
Passenger 1500 can comfortably seat up to 30 passengers and its two 500 HP-engines propel it to a top speed of 27 knots. The first boat was delivered to Sweden, where it operates in the beautiful archipelago of Gryt, 150 km southwest of the capital Stockholm.
