Another challenge is their size, often making them unsuitable for maneuvering in narrow waterways and shallow areas near the Baltic Sea. Kewatec AluBoat addresses these issues with the Work OSR-series of oil recovery boats.
The FiFi 2200 OSR is a versatile tool for various rescue operations, with ice-class certification for up to 10 cm of ice. It features a water gun fed by a 3000 l/min fire pump. The boat is ATEX-classified, with an overpressurized cabin and a separate gas lock before entry.
Positioning the wheelhouse at the front enhances the vessel’s effectiveness in oil recovery and firefighting tasks. Optimal visibility from the wheelhouse is supported by separate cameras for the deck and engine room. A thermal camera is also installed for fire and search operations.
