Barge 1620 OSR

The Barge 1620 OSR is a versatile catamaran primarily designed for oil recovery, equipped for deploying oil booms, transporting fire-fighting gear, and facilitating crew transfer to accident sites. It can also serve in evacuation operations during fires and marine incidents.

Thanks to its shallow draft, this vessel can access beaches and navigate moderate coastal waters swiftly, especially when unladen. It features two powerful gasoline outboard engines that can be tilted for added speed.

The Barge 1620 OSR boasts a hydraulic crane, a hydraulic bow door, and a capstan, all operated by a dedicated hydraulic system. Additionally, it includes a flexible oil boom that can be positioned either at the bow or stern.

The aft deck offers a spacious and secure work area at the same level as the main deck, with removable handrails for added safety. The non-slip aluminum deck provides numerous cargo attachment points. In low-light conditions, the vessel’s retractable mast with potent spotlights ensures safe operations.

Designed for a crew of up to 10 people, the vessel accommodates six individuals in the heated and ventilated wheelhouse. The operator and navigator benefit from suspension seats, while four additional passengers have seating on a padded bench.
